Gum Disease or Pyorrhea

It is the disease that affects the gums, most often caused by poor oral hygiene. Inadequate cleaning of the mouth causes the collection of plaque & tartar (calculus) on teeth that cause gum disease.

Signs of gum disease :

Bleeding gums

Swollen gums

Receding gums
Mobility (loosening) of teeth

Treatment options for gum disease :

Scaling (Cleaning)

Curettage

Flap Surgery

Majorly performed by LASERS, gum treatments have now become largely painless procedures, often obliterating the need for even Local Anaesthesia.
